Welcome to my blog.

The purpose of this blog is to chronicle my journey towards achieving financial independence and early retirement. By early 2028, I hope to make enough money through passive and semi-passive means to fully retire.

My goal is to make as much money as the average recipient of US Social Security which is (as of 2026) $2,081 per month. After three consecutive months of making over $2,081 per month, I will declare this goal to be a success. Once this goal is achieved, this blog will be permanently archived and no new posts will be made.

Please note that all dollar amounts are in USD. I live in New Zealand and pay my rent and groceries with NZD but due to the international nature of many (if not most) passive income streams, I figured it would be easier to just denote everything in USD instead.

If you have any questions or would like to share something, feel free to post a comment on this post or on my future posts. The only comments I will censor are those from automated spam bots so if your comment doesn’t show up after a week or two then it’s likely that I mistook it for spam.
